About CEC
The Continuing Education Consortium (CEC) was formed by the New York State County Highway Superintendents Association, Inc. (NYSCHSA) in the Spring of 2004 to provide accredited training and professional development programs to all industry professionals involved in the building and maintenance of New York’s highways and bridges.
CEC is the training arm of NYSCHSA which utilizes the collective talents of the Association membership to produce high quality and timely training programs. NYSCHSA has been designated a Sponsor Organization by the Practicing Institute of Engineering, Inc. (PIE). This means CEC, through NYSCHSA members, is able to develop, evaluate and administer accredited training programs that meet NYS Education Department continuing education regulations.
The ability to provide accredited training programs is significant. As of January 1, 2004 new State law requires all Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors meet continuing education requirements as set forth by law and the NYS Education Department. CEC will provide the necessary training to meet the continuing education needs of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. At the same time, CEC Training Programs will be providing technical programs that benefit all industry professionals.
